GGF Director John McKellar receives 2011 Edmund C. Bovey Award

The Glenn Gould Foundation congratulates Director John McKellar C.M, Q.C., J.D on being named the 2011 Edmund C. Bovey Laureate. 

Learning of his Bovey accolade, John McKellar, Partner Emeritus at WeirFoulds LLP, says, “It is a great honour for me to receive this award, especially so because I knew Ed Bovey and greatly admired what he was able to do for the arts.  I also know many of the previous recipients and their accomplishments so I’m delighted to be considered worthy of joining them as winner of this award.”

The Edmund C. Bovey Award, named after the first chairman of Business for the Arts, honours a business professional who has demonstrated a lifetime of significant support or leadership in arts and culture in Canada.
